This 1-hour Florida Continuing Education course provides mortgage professionals with a comprehensive review of key state-specific regulations governing mortgage transactions. Covering critical topics such as compliance filings, escrow and trust account management, disclosures, advertising regulations, enforcement actions, and disciplinary penalties, this course ensures that licensees fully understand their obligations under Florida Statutes Chapter 494 and related administrative codes. Participants will gain insight into the investigation and examination processes conducted by the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (OFR), as well as the penalties for violations, including fines, license suspensions, and criminal charges for mortgage fraud. Additionally, the course addresses limitations on high-cost loans, prohibited practices, and the requirements for individuals engaging solely in loan processing.
