This self-paced, online course provides a comprehensive overview of Hawaii’s mortgage licensing regulations and consumer protection laws, with a focus on compliance requirements for mortgage loan originators and distressed property consultants. Participants will examine the Hawaii Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act, the Mortgage Rescue Fraud Prevention Act, and related statutes governing ethical conduct, disclosure obligations, prohibited practices, and borrower rights. Through real-world scenarios, case studies, and targeted assessments, learners will strengthen their understanding of Hawaii’s regulatory framework and develop the knowledge necessary to maintain compliance while protecting homeowners from deceptive and unfair lending practices.
