This self-paced, online course provides a comprehensive overview of Minnesota’s state-specific mortgage laws and regulatory requirements for Mortgage Loan Originators. Participants will review standards of conduct, advertising and disclosure obligations, permissible fees and charges under state law, and key borrower protections. The course also examines the authority of the Minnesota Department of Commerce, including its examination and enforcement powers, disciplinary actions, and applicable civil and criminal penalties. Through statutory references, practical case examples, and review questions, MLOs will gain the knowledge necessary to maintain compliance, uphold ethical practices, and protect consumers in residential mortgage transactions.

  • Quizzes follow each module, with a final exam at the end of the course
