This self-paced, online course provides a comprehensive overview of the District of Columbia’s state-specific mortgage disclosure and documentation requirements for licensed mortgage professionals. Participants will examine required disclosures, written agreements, and regulatory timing standards under D.C. Code §§ 26–1113, 26–1114, and related rules, including the proper delivery of financing agreements, written commitments, Mortgage Disclosure Forms for non-conventional loans, and rate lock agreements. The course emphasizes legal limitations on fee collection, documentation best practices, and compliance with both District-specific and federal consumer protection laws. By the end of the course, licensees will be prepared to originate residential mortgage loans in full compliance with D.C. regulations while safeguarding borrowers’ rights through transparent, timely, and enforceable disclosures.
