This 7-hour SAFE Core Continuing Education course examines the federal compliance foundations that most frequently drive regulatory findings in mortgage origination. The course is structured around three core areas: federal mortgage law, ethical obligations under consumer financial protection statutes, and the heightened risks associated with non-traditional mortgage products. Participants will analyze how statutory requirements, regulatory standards, and enforcement expectations apply to real-world origination activity, with particular emphasis on borrower understanding, underwriting integrity, and decisioning consistency. By completing this course, Mortgage Loan Originators will strengthen their ability to identify compliance risk, meet federal obligations, and operate within the expectations applied during supervisory and enforcement reviews in 2026.

NMLS ID 18438

This one-hour Pennsylvania continuing education course provides mortgage loan originators with a focused review of state-specific mortgage laws governing licensure, conduct, consumer protections, and enforcement. The course examines the regulatory authority of the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, conduct-based compliance obligations under the Mortgage Licensing Act, and the disciplinary framework applicable to violations of Pennsylvania mortgage law. In addition, the course addresses key consumer protection statutes, including the Loan Interest and Protection Law, and reviews the role of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and the Homeowners’ Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program in foreclosure prevention. Emphasis is placed on statutory requirements, enforcement exposure, and regulatory accountability applicable to mortgage origination activity involving Pennsylvania residential property.
