This 7-hour SAFE Core Continuing Education course examines the federal compliance foundations that most frequently drive regulatory findings in mortgage origination. The course is structured around three core areas: federal mortgage law, ethical obligations under consumer financial protection statutes, and the heightened risks associated with non-traditional mortgage products. Participants will analyze how statutory requirements, regulatory standards, and enforcement expectations apply to real-world origination activity, with particular emphasis on borrower understanding, underwriting integrity, and decisioning consistency. By completing this course, Mortgage Loan Originators will strengthen their ability to identify compliance risk, meet federal obligations, and operate within the expectations applied during supervisory and enforcement reviews in 2026.

This 1-hour Florida SAFE Continuing Education course delivers an in-depth, state-specific analysis of the legal and regulatory standards that govern mortgage professionals operating in Florida. Through a structured review of Chapter 494, Florida Statutes, and applicable Florida Administrative Code provisions, participants examine licensing maintenance, regulatory reporting obligations, escrow and trust account compliance, advertising restrictions, disclosure requirements, enforcement authority, and disciplinary procedures. The course also addresses high-cost loan limitations, prohibited practices, supervisory responsibilities, and the legal boundaries applicable to loan processors and mortgage loan originators. By integrating regulatory requirements with practical compliance considerations, this course equips licensees to identify risk exposure, respond appropriately to regulatory oversight, and uphold the ethical and operational standards required in Florida’s mortgage marketplace.
